BaBy GiRl???

We had two ultrasounds in the past couple of weeks. One with our doctor here in Idaho and another during Christmas vacation in Missoula with the doctor that Josh's mom works for. Both were so fun and we got to see that we're having an alien! Just kidding. But until this baby gets some fat on it, the pictures from the womb in 3-D aren't all that attractive!

The ultrasound in Idaho left us thinking we will be having a girl in May. But the doctor said that baby's legs were squeezed so tight that he couldn't say it 100%. Which, in all honesty, is what I think every doctor says when they think it is a girl. Then, in Missoula, there was a moment where we thought we caught a very obvious protruding object between the baby's legs, but it wouldn't stay still and we couldn't see it again. Not to mention baby Clixby was jammed up against my bladder in the corner of my uterus for the entire ultrasound and was leaving half of its home unoccupied! Montana doc said our baby was a challenge to his ego!

We did find a small thing that we had to keep an eye on in that the umbilical cord may be missing an artery. Typically a baby will have two arteries and a vein, but so far, only one artery can be spotted. This just means there is a potential for renal problems, but being that they were able to see both kidneys and the bladder, they aren't too concerned and will conduct another ultrasound in 7 weeks to try and spot it again. There is nothing they can do about this in the womb and it is just indicates a slight chance for a problem.
