Frosty the snowman
Yesterday, it snowed all day. We don't have many inches left to show for it but it's so cold that all the tree branches frosted over. The world turns into a winter wonderland when that happens and I just want to bundle up and stare at it all day! It's so hard to work during the holiday season.
I came in a couple Saturdays ago to put up all the decorations in the office that I did last year. They're cute and get everyone in the holiday spirit. Garland over each door, fake Christmas presents on the walls, some even wrapped in cow material! We're just waiting to see if the owner wants a big real tree like last year. It was kind of messy but the scent and mood it sets are worth it. I've been passing out the Christmas hams to employees today and accidentally left mine in the car all night! Oops! Good thing it was like a freezer out there! My sister suggested I move all of my frozen goods out there!
We are going to Missoula for Christmas to spend time with friends and family. Josh's brother will be up from GA so we'll get to visit with them which is kind of rare. About as rare as I see my family! All I can think about is his mom's almond roca. She seriously needs to sell the stuff! I asked for the recipe but there's just something special when you don't have to make it. I whipped up some oatmeal cookies and fudge this weekend. If they last, we'll take them up with us. Josh had to finish making the fudge though because by the time the two hour cooking process was over and I stirred as much as I could, I was going to drop dead! The great guy also fixed some dinner...patty melts which were excellent!
Lately all I want are foods that are bad for me. I've resisted mostly because I'm saving for our little vacation over Christmas. I am reserving that time to eat whatever I wanted. Finally have felt energetic enough to get back in the gym on a nightly basis and can actually keep the house clean on a day to day basis instead of every Saturday, lol. Got all the presents wrapped and they're set to mail today so things are all falling into place and ten more days until Missoula...woohoo!
